To eric is human to forgive is devine

Yesterday a co-worker of mine received news that her brother was diagnosed with lung cancer and that he is terminal. She is devastated.

It got me to wondering about my own mortality and if I would want to know when I was going to die, or if I would rather be surprised. I think I would want to know. I read this book once called, “The Last Lecture.” It was written by Randy Pausch who was a terminally ill Professor with Carnegie Mellon and he literally gave his last lecture. It is a gem of a book.

I just think it would be nice to say good bye.
